We received a call from a Good Samaritan who found us in the phone book. They had discovered that a baby Mourning Dove had fallen out of a tall pine tree in their front yard. So we met with this person at the Clark County Emergency Veterinary Clinic in Vancouver Washington.

Around 10 PM, One of Our Volunteers picked up and delivered the baby who appeared to be dehydrated, and quite shaken up from the fall. We kept the bird from going into shock and have had a close eye on it since its arrival. If it makes it another three hours, we feel it will be fine. In addition, it will be released where it was found once we wean it in two to three weeks. Its 3:o0 ish AM and the baby should survive the next three hours before its next exam.
