As we pass our Duck signs it was a nice dry 70 degree day as we traveled the scenic route to Yacolt, Washington.

It was the normal windy road to Yacolt, Washington
Upon arrival in Yacolt, Washington we notice a familiar sign; the location of our Nest Platform # 4
As we arrive at the corner of Hubbard & Twin Falls Road were the nest tears down occurred in 2006, 2007, and thought-out the tear of 2008. There was no sign of a Wild Quaker.
Here is the remains of one of the nest platform erected by the Yacolt Parrot Preservation Association.
It was reported that they were financially supported by Friends of animals and the Quaker Parrot society. (I believe these two groups and the towns people were disappointed that their monies where mishandled. Y.AP.P.A ended up seeking our help for equipment to erect only one of four planned nest platforms they promise the community and Friends of animals and the Quaker Parrot society.
Here is a quick view of the street of were the fledgling Wild Quaker was found walking down the street.
Upon arrival I was excited to see this new found fledgling.
I was prepared and ready to transport in a warm brooder.
A few of the Welker’s family’s exotic birds in the background.
Here is our first glance at the new construction add-on by the Wild Quakers of the nest platform in three months.

Friday 06-17-2010 9PM (PST) Friday 06-17-2010 I was summoned to Yacolt Washington by residents to help a fledgling wild Quaker walking down the street. alone. We rescued him/her. Back in the years of 2006, 2007, and a successful 2008 rescue efforts where noticed. We self appointed our self to be the guardians of the Wild Quakers of Yacolt Washington. the local residence seemed to give up their rescue efforts in the early months of 2008. They called themselves (Y.A.P.P.A') Yacolt Parrot Preservation Association. To see more media video & print publications on these wild Quakers. newly rescued Quaker & Name it “SquWelcher ” (Because of its Squelch and the combinations of their last name Welker.) After their love for Quakers they treat all of the Quakers in town like one of their own children.

I created a similar sleeping quarters of the platform from which this fledgling Quaker fell from.
I also added a few fresh fruits and veggies for his breakfast before I will feed hand feed him formula with electrolytes. I need to keep this Quaker self-sufficient;
So he/ she will needs to learn how to find its own food.
I will only feed it once daily।
